Safety and Convenience: Solving a Lighting Dilemma for an Elderly Loved One
My mother-in-law lives in a rental with an inconvenient layout. The entrance is a walk-up with the light switch located at the top of the stairs. Coming home late at night, she often had to navigate the stairs in the dark, which was both unsafe and inconvenient, especially with groceries or other items in her hands.To address this, I installed these motion-activated light fixtures. Where do I start. As an electrical engineer I found this product to be really disappointing to say the lease.First and most important; not that I needed one, it comes with no instructions so if you are a DIY kind of person you will be frustrated trying to figure out what to do with it. The parts that will allow you to install it in an existing can will not work; they are too flimsy to hold the light in place. The occupation sensor did not work out of the box. It claims you can change the lumens from 3K-5K; not so. In order to access the lumen setting you have to take the face plate off, and after you do that good luck trying to figure out how to change it. In summary, don’t waste your time and money on this product.

Motion sensor porch light
6-inch led porch light was super easy to install with included screws. Fit in exist wire box neatly and cleanly. Works as advertised when dark and someone approaches the house. Turns off after 3 minutes once motion stops. Will buy again if needed.

Works OK but…
I had difficulty putting the lens cover on one light. It was off out of the box. On the other light, it kept falling off when installed.The lights are set up to fit two common sizes of J box. I was unlucky to have one of the other sizes of J box. I had to use a fastener to secure the second screw. As a FYI, it comes with aluminium wiring. A solid copper wire would make it easier to connect to existing wiring.On the positive side, the motion detector and timer work fine.

The motion detector is spot on
Put in our pantry that doesn’t have a switch to control the light…works flawlessly, open the door and the light comes on and stays on as long as you are in there. Also really like that you have a choice of 3 color temps and 3 time settings. Also, NO BATTERIES!

On aime beaucoup que ca allume des que l on passe, mais pas 5 etoiles car pour regler l intensité il faut l enlever du mur, le debrancher, choisir un autre intensité et le remettre, meme processus si on veut changer le temps d allumage.
