Benefits & Use Cases
This jamb guide and bumper kit is ideal for individuals looking to maintain or restore the smooth glide and secure closure of their sliding shower doors. It’s particularly useful when existing guides become worn, misaligned, or damaged, leading to rattling, poor sealing, or inconsistent tracking along the rail. By replacing these components, users can eliminate unwanted noise and drafts, ensuring a quieter and more efficient shower experience. The accurate sizing supports consistent door tracking, which helps prevent binding or jamming over time. Additionally, the gray finish integrates seamlessly with most existing shower hardware, preserving the uniform look of the enclosure without requiring color matching or custom adjustments.
Homeowners and installers will appreciate how this kit addresses common issues associated with aging sliding doors—such as squeaking, sticking, or uneven movement—by reinforcing the door’s connection to the jamb and guiding rail. Properly installed, the guide ensures the door remains centered during operation, reducing stress on the rollers and extending the lifespan of the entire system. The bumpers absorb minor impacts at the edges, preventing wear and tear on both the glass and the frame. Together, these features contribute to a more durable, dependable shower door assembly that performs reliably day after day.
Important Notes
The Gordon Glass® Gray Jamb Guide and Bumpers are intended as a direct replacement for compatible sliding shower door systems. While the kit includes all essential mounting hardware, compatibility should be verified based on your specific shower door model and jamb configuration before purchase. No additional tools beyond standard screwdrivers are required for installation. Care should be taken during assembly to ensure proper alignment of the guide and bumpers for optimal door performance. This product does not include detailed instructions; users may need to refer to manufacturer guidelines or consult a professional if unfamiliar with shower door maintenance.
It is recommended to inspect the existing hardware prior to installation to confirm fitment and condition. If the guide rail or jamb surface shows signs of corrosion, deep scratches, or significant deformation, surface preparation may be necessary for a secure bond. Always test door movement after installation to verify smooth operation and adjust positioning if needed. While this kit is designed for general use across standard configurations, unique door geometries or non-traditional installations may require additional assessment.

Spruced up my shower doors!
These were very easy to install and fit in my standard fiberglass shower and tub versions that have sliding glass doors. Would highly recommend

Disappointed
The screws for the bumpers were too bigger & could not be used – ugh. I had to go get screws to fit the bumpers to use them – again – ugh!

Time To Upgrade Old Pieces
Very easy to install. Nice looking, considering how the old ones looked. Should have done this a long time ago. Thanks!

I Finally Found One That Fits!!!!!
I have a shower with sliding doors inside a white frame and the rubber guide and bumper (light grey in color) are falling apart. So for all the reviewers who bought another type sold on Amazon (white) and then said it didnât fit their 2â frame ⦠this one works!!!! 2â is the outside measurement. The inside measurement is about 1.8â. Alas, itâs not white, but my original guides and bumpers werenât white either. Pops right in and screws in place. Iâm happy.

Crazy expensive for what they are…
… ($19.95 for three small pieces of molded plastic, and 3 screws), but they look good, and fit my shower perfectly!

Saved Us Cost of New Shower Door
The bumpers on our 12 yo glass shower door were falling apart. My husband contacted the manufacturer but parts no longer available. So I searched to find them on Amazon. $20 instead of $300 for new door!
