Good, but with some shortcomings [SOLVED!!!]
==========UPDATE: 9-7-18=============Company ThousandShores Inc. customer service has been abundantly helpful. They offered to issue me a full refund because I wasn’t completely satisfied with the product (see original review below). I accepted the refund… and in this way, I can simply buy a second light unit and swap between the two while the other is on the charger… thus, in essence, doubling the battery capacity as I suggested as a product improvement. I am hereby revising my 3-star review to 5-stars, due to excellent (and persistent) customer service.By the way, the light still works well and bright (when charged up, of course) in my kitchen over my stove and sink area. I like the light. :-)=====================================[ORIGINAL REVIEW:]Overall a good and relatively bright light. I have it over my stove and sink area in my kitchen. There are 2 drawbacks to this product… 1) The light is a little “finicky” in that it turns on at the with minor motion, but then it cuts off too quickly… I’m still working/doing stuff and moving and the light turns off. You need to intentionally wave your arm or move your body big too get it to come back on… it gets tiresome after a while. Wish it stayed on for about a minutes; not 10-15 seconds. 2) This thing needs A LOT bigger of a recharagable battery. I believe it’s only a 700 maH battery, which is like 1 AA battery’s worth. I would have designed it to have AT LEAST double the battery capacity. By the end of the work week, the light already needs to be charged again. Of course, a bigger battery would have probably raised the cost up. Anyways, I’m glad I got the re-chargeable version, because I can only imagine how many batteries this thing would eat up… especially alkalines. As long as you know these shortcomings going in, it should be a good light for you. Oh, before I forget… sometimes it comes on when it’s light/bright in the room, when it shouldn’t. My light is mounted on the ceiling, about 18 inches away from an uncovered window… sometimes the light still comes on during the daylight hours. Weird. So yeah, not perfect, but still good for the price.

Bright and Easy To Install
“I needed a lighting solution in a cupboard I transformed in to sliding pantry shelves, instead of shelves that were packed full of items I hadn’t used in years and years. I bought the sliding shelves here on Amazon too but quickly realized I had no way of installing lighting since there is no access to an electrical outlet nor any way of running an electrical line to the cupboard. I searched Amazon for a solution and found these to be a very reasonable cost and easy to place exactly where I needed them. They also have the added function of turning on with motion as soon as I open the cupboard and shined so bright that I have no problem finding everything I need and better yet what I needed to purchase the next time I went shopping; I had gotten in the habit of giving up searching the other cupboards I had perviously used for that one I item I was sure I had and would just buy another and another and another until I couldn’t fit more things in and then would have to empty it out and I would find I had three of the thing I was searching for and had just bought another. I’m saving trips to the grocery and buying items now only when I need them. The batteries last a long time too since they turn off quickly after no motion is detected, another cost savings, especially since I use rechargeable batteries too. I really like that they stay in place with magnets so they are easily removed for battery changes. I did have one that the motion sensor didn’t work well and the seller sent me a replacement with no questions asked, without having to return the defective one and were very apologetic as soon as I contacted them. They are one of the best sellers I have had the pleasure of working with on Amazon.

These are wonderful and do exactly as advertised… but…
There is NOTHING wrong with these lights. They do exactly as advertised, arebright, have good motion sensing, and are mounted with a peel-and-stick stripthat is a magnet. The light sticks to the magnet. This neat design feature allowsthem to be removed when the AAA cells need replacing……but…Each of these lights use four AAA cells. The area where I placed them is a stairwellto a basement business storage area and is not accessed very often… only when weneed some old files, to reset a circuit breaker.I could see into the future that the AAA cells would be leaking (and destroyingthe lights) long before the AAA cells were run down and needed to be replaced.So I returned these lights and bought the exact same light that is rechargeableby USB. This insures that the batteries never leak and the lights will last formany years. When one of the lights doesn’t come on (because the internalbattery is discharged) I will simply lift all of them off the mounting magnetsand take them into the office, plug in the charger cables overnight and inthe morning put them back in the stairwell.

Love these lights, and can’t say enough good things about them. I have 3 of them placed going down the stairs to my basement, which for some reason the previous owners of this old home had no lighting going down the stairs until you reach the bottom to flick on a light switch. I’m pretty sure these lights have saved me from missing a step and falling. Previous lights I’ve tried using were nowhere close to as good as these ones are. They operate on Triple A batteries, and are motion-sensor. They are fabulous!! I will be buying some more in case I can’t find them again to purchase them someplace.

After purchasing this I had put the product in the utensil area which is very dark. The brightness is good but the batteries hardly last a week ( Duracell ultra). So I’ve purchased Duracell rechargeable batteries. Charge stays for a week and recharging it at nights once a week.This product is only for areas which are used once or twice a day.Overall a nice product but too expensive.
