From removing old, damaged splines to securing new mesh in place, every element has been carefully selected to ensure a smooth, frustration-free experience.
The kit includes a robust rolling tool with dual-function carbon steel wheels, a sharp yet safe spline removal hook, eight durable screen clips, and 32 feet of strong retainer spline—everything needed to complete most screen projects from start to finish. No prior experience? No problem. The intuitive design allows even first-time users to achieve professional-looking results quickly and efficiently.
Key Features
- Sharp Spline Removal Hook: Crafted from premium stainless steel with an ergonomic rubber handle, this tool makes short work of stubborn, aged, or tangled screen materials lodged deep within frame grooves. The pointed tip easily hooks out old layers, worn splines, and debris without damaging surrounding frames, making cleanup and preparation for new installation effortless and safe.
- Dual-Sided Screen Rolling Tool: At its core lies a sturdy wooden handle housing two precision-engineered carbon steel wheels mounted on smooth-rolling bearings. One wheel is convex (0.03 inches wide), ideal for gently pressing screen material into the frame groove, while the concave counterpart (0.157 inches wide) rolls the spline securely into place. This dual functionality ensures tight, consistent tension across the entire screen panel.
- 8 PCS Manganese Steel Screen Clips: These nickel-plated clips offer exceptional durability, flexibility, and resistance to wear. They hold screen mesh firmly in position during spline insertion, preventing movement and slippage that can lead to wrinkles or gaps. Their design ensures accurate alignment every time, improving overall finish quality.
- 32FT Sturdy Screen Spline: Made of round, hollow-core material with a serrated edge, this retainer spline measures 0.14 inches in diameter and provides ample length—32 feet total—for multiple projects. The serrations lock the screen tightly into the frame groove, maintaining long-term tension and stability while resisting loosening due to weather or use.
- Durable Construction: Every component is built to last. The rolling tool features a solid wood handle for a comfortable, non-slip grip, while metal parts like the wheels, clips, and hook are constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and hardened carbon steel. This ensures reliable performance even after repeated use in humid or outdoor environments.

Benefits & Use Cases
Ideal for a wide range of residential applications, this screen repair kit supports quick fixes and full replacements on patio doors, porch screens, garden windows, pool enclosures, and standard window frames. The included screen clips allow you to pre-position and secure the mesh before inserting the spline, streamlining the process and reducing errors. Because the entire system works as a coordinated unit, what used to require two people and extra hands now becomes a straightforward one-person job—perfect for busy households or those who prefer to tackle maintenance themselves.
Beyond basic repairs, this kit is especially valuable for property managers, landlords, or anyone frequently handling screen installations across multiple locations. The 32-foot spline roll minimizes waste and ensures you have enough material for larger jobs, while the reusable clips and robust tools reduce long-term costs compared to disposable or low-quality alternatives.
Important Notes
A critical safety note: never use the convex wheel of the rolling tool to press fiberglass screen mesh into the frame groove. Due to its sharp edge, it can cut through delicate fiberglass material, resulting in tears and compromised integrity. For aluminum or copper mesh screens, either wheel may be used depending on personal preference or specific application needs. Always ensure the screen is flat and properly aligned before applying clips and inserting the spline to maintain proper tension and prevent sagging over time.
After use, store all components in a dry environment to preserve the integrity of the rubber handle and prevent corrosion on metal parts. The package includes one screen rolling tool, one spline removal hook, eight screen installer clips, and 32 feet of retainer spline—ready to deliver immediate value on your next project.

Very easy to use and inexpensive. You can do it !
I purchased this item after I was dog sitting for a friend. He was moving and needed me to watch his dogs for a few days. He lived in an apartment and I had a back yard that has a couple of lower screens in the back. When I let them out to use the restroom they would scratch the screen when they were ready to come back in. I did not want to buy a whole new screen so I went to Home Depot to find a matching screen material which I did for $8 that would cover the two screens. The rubber and kit there was for much larger repair jobs at a much larger price so saw this and gave it a try. This is very easy to use as I discovered that if I used two hands by holding the wheel in a pinching type technique with one hand while holding the handle with the other the process went very fast and easy. this allowed me to push the rubber into the crease quickly and accurately. If you buy this you will save $$$$ and be very happy with the result as it not difficult to use. You can do It !

Nice screening tool but…..
This screen roller tool is well built. As with some other reviews, the edge on the convex end was too sharp and cut the screen. Some of that could be my lack of experience as this was my first re-screening attempt. The channel (concave) side of the tool was also too wide for the channel on my particular screen frame. I purchased a plastic roller screen tool for a few bucks that had a narrower channel. I was then easily able to re-screen 3 frames with no problem whatsoever. The spline that comes with the kit was good quality and worked well as it was the same thickness as the old spline that I removed. There are different thicknesses of spline, so you have to make sure that you match up with the old spline. I also liked the hooked tool that comes with the kit. It was very useful to remove the old spline, and the blunted back edge of the hook was helpful in pushing down the corners of the spline when inserting into the screen channel. All in all, a nice screen repair kit and well worth the price. Why pay someone else to re-screen?? Watch a few YouTube videos and do it yourself. Save big bucks.

We Used It Right Away!
Worked Perfectly to keep the dog out of the area in our back yard where we had our pool. Set it up so we could plant some grass seed. Today – it looks awesome! We took down the barrier but we are keeping for our next project! Easy to set up & take down!

measure your screen channel
Everything said this unit seams to be made well, functional, and cost effective. The issue I had was the width of the roller, this units rollers are 4mm wide, maybe I missed it in the amazon write up but I really didn’t think of the possibility of different screen channel widths and my screens have a 3mm channel which made the tool fairly useless. If you have 4mm or larger screen channels this would be a good buy, but for me not so much. I ended up going to Lowes and getting their seemingly identical unit with narrower rollers. The cost was to low to return and I did use the pick on my screens so I didn’t return it.
