Great Lock for Garage Door Into Home
I needed a new lockset as the handle broke off on the old one. Pretty good lockset – easy to install and program. Note that this does not work with Alexa out of the box – you have to add a gateway (purchased separately) for that. You can program multiple codes for and it comes with 2 wireless fobs as well as 2 keys. You can also program it for passage mode during a set time period (only 1 program in the basic mode). Finally the app works as well to unlock the door if you are within about 6′ of the door. Overall works well for my purposes.

Easy to install and use
This product is well-designed and manufactured. It is a Chinese product, probably built with Japanese equipment to Japanese tolerances. The Chinese have learned how to manufacture quality items consistently and precisely and deserve credit for that. When installing the lock, you must watch the video carefully at each stage, and there won’t be a problem. The instructions are more like you’d get with a German product. There’s one way to do it and you should pay attention. Nevertheless, if you get something wrong, it’s pretty forgiving. I admire the design. I put it on the front door of an old 64′ single-wide mobile home. I used a round file to smooth out the metal trim so the base would pass through, but it fits fine in the mortises. You have the option of using a key if the batteries fail. Remote control and settings on the app work fine. The fob works well. When using a code to open the door, you must touch the screen once before entering the code and follow the digits with the ‘#’ sign. The first touch awakens the screen, and then you enter the code. For example, for a four-digit code, the opener will touch the screen a total of six times. This doesn’t bother me.

Oh My Goodness
I must write a review about this lock. I love it 100%. Easy to install even without any instructions. Works perfectly for my purpose at the garage entrance door to the house. The lock works for right handed and left handed door openings. Connection to the app, wifi, G2 hub all works very easily and effortlessly. If you are looking for a door lock that works this is it. So happy I bought this. Requires 4 AA batteries. Works with app, key, card, passcode etc.

Handle broke.
The handle broke and trapped me in the house. One month old. Big safety hazard! Had I been trying to escape a fire my whole family would be dead.I took it apart and found the metal mechanism to be poorly build out of thin metal and a tab that retracts the pin was folded over.

Great as an inner door smart door lock
I wouldn’t use this for an outside door even if it’s under a covered porch. It feels flimsy when you turn the handle. But as an indoor smart door lock, it works great. We use it in an office setting and it’s been reliable for us. Only gripe is that the keys are marked Schlage with number references, but when you make copies of them, they do not always work especially if you use the number reference for cutting the keys. The copied keys have to be EXACTLY the same length & cuts as the original key or else it’ll be finicky & not open on the first try. Sometimes you have to jiggle the key around to get it to catch just right. But other than that, the keypads are solid & the batteries have been holding up even with daily use.

Good low cost WiFi door lock
Just bought a house and needed to replace a few door looks. Installation was easy, and programming the codes was not bad. The only issue. Is that the Gateway I purchased to be able to remotely access the two locks I purchased is probably 10â away, and has a weeek signal through one wall and did not recognize the lock⦠still trying to figure out if the location that I am placing the Getaway could be betterâ¦4 out of 5 stars because of the Gateway issues..

This does not appear to be a Wifi lock.
The information mentions wifi but appears the lock does not communicate with your wifi. Will communicate with a phone near it which assumably is through blue tooth. Hoping to open lock from a remote location. Maybe I’m missing something but looked throughout the app and could not find a setting to connect the lock to wifi. Otherwise the lock is good quality. A little difficult to get the key to turn during install.
