Versatile Modern Lamp
This is a review of the Taykoo RGB LED Floor Lamp, model SC-LDD.The ultra-modern multi-function light is entertaining and easy to operate. There is an in-line switch that controls numerous functions. The user guide has 2 QR codes which can be used to download Smart Life or Tuya apps. Either app can be used to control many more functions. The 17 page user guide gives complete directions on getting started.The four sections can be placed in many positions. Each 1â x 1â x 16â section can be turned in a different direction. At full height, the lamp extends to 5â 9â.The lamp comes with a base that is heavy enough to keep the lamp from tipping over. Or the base can be removed and the lamp can be wall mounted. All hardware is included.Using the app, brightness is adjustable between 1% and 100%. Full brightness is a vivid 1200 lumen.The color temperature is adjustable between 2700K and 6500K.This very versatile lamp also works with Alexa and Hey Google.

Wonât stay in place
It is impossible to tighten the screws enough for it to stay in place. Maybe mine is a QC anomaly, but I wasted an hour trying to get this to do what I needed to. This isnât rocket science, and Iâm not an idiot. I would avoid.

Great concept and versatility bad execution as a floor standing lampâ¦
The versatility is undeniable! If you plan to attach it to the wall using the clips, I recommend it highly and it works great! However, I CANNOT RECOMMEND this item for it’s intended purpose as a STANDING FLOOR LAMP because despite the heavy and good quality base, the arm that attaches to the base is too short and weak to take on the stresses of the upper arms, which makes the lamp unstable , the force needed. to secure arms is absurd, and if you try to put it in angles as shown in the pictures it will easily tip over!BIGGEST CONS: 1. The part that attaches to the base needs to be way stronger/thicker aluminum to add more weight and help with stability because it takes on all of the stress in any of the foldable bending configurations! 2. Joints of each arm require a lot of force to tighten when extended and the whole thing easily starts to tip over despite the heavy base, which is why they need to address this with a longer and stronger aluminum arm that attaches to the base and helps keeps things straight and level!The cons are unfortunate, given the items great potential. Additionally, the base needs to be offered in a 90 degree L format (as an optional base) so it fits corners best.This item just needs a few improvements and is so much more versatile than all of its competitors and it will blow them out of the water!

First unit received had manufacturing error but was replaced by seller.
Received the originalitem and tried to attach the base to use as a floor lamp. Unfortunately the floor base can’t be attached as where it attaches on the light is not compatible. I tried to get a picture that people could see but the based of the light piece has a hole and there is a machine screw. The metal in the hole is too small for the machine screw and is not threaded to accept that screw. It also comes with wall brackets to attach without using the base.Update: the seller contacted me about the issue and sent a replacement item. The replacement had a threaded area for the machine screw and it attached with no issues. The light is nice that it can be adjusted but you do have to tighten the hinge screws very tight to keep them from moving. It has many colors options and provides a nice backlight option in my room.

loosen joints, falls over
The lamp does not twist or stand in cool shapes like the pictures show. it is not sturdy and will fall over. mines no longer tighten because of excess re-tightening. i now just have to prop it against the wall so it looks like a dead light stick. so sad

Versatile.
When I initially ordered the floor lamp, I wasn’t expecting it to be such a great lamp. I was expecting the lamp to be made out of some cheap plastic with a metallic coat of paint to make it look like its higher quality than it actually is. I was surprised when I picked up the packaging because it was much heavier than I anticipated. These are actually made from an aluminum alloy which is way more than what I expected already. This RGB floor lamp looks much better in person than what you see in the pictures. I was intrigued by its ability to be used in two very different ways; on the floor or on the wall. The best part about this is that I can mount it on the wall and if I don’t like the way it looks, I can always change it to a floor standing lamp in a few minutes time. Another function that is quite unique is the ability to swivel at certain intervals along the lamp in order to create more shapes an designs. I absolutely love this lamp.

Not very bright
If you’re looking to illuminate an area don’t get this. This is only good as an accent light. Also does not stay bent. Joints are made of plastic and cannot be tightened enough to stay put.

Keeps falling
The joints won’t get tight enough to stay. Cool light but won’t keep form. And I don’t want to have to screw it into my wall to stay. If it functioned properly I’d give it 5 stars
