Excellent repair kit
We have an older camper that needed new screens in the entry door. This kit came with everything to take care of this project: instructions for using, very durable screen material, two rolling tools (one plastic and the other metal), a handy tape measure, a razor cutter for trimming and a hook tool to help take the old spline out. There was more screen material than I needed, so I had some left for future projects. The quality of this product is first rate and well worth the cost. Very impressive!

Excellent screen replacement kit has everything needed to save you $$$!
Heard a guy go into the local glass shop to ask how much it would cost to replace a screen on his sliding door – think they quoted him about $100! So, this kit and about 20-30 min of your time will save you some real cash. The kit comes with all the tools needed for installation and the instructions are quite clear:1) Use the included hook to pull the old spline and remove the old screen.2) Cut the new screen with about 2″ excess border all the way around (the kit even comes with a small plastic tape measure).3) Use the CONVEX side of the roller to push the spline in halfway (I had to go back and redo the first side to tighten it up a bit); start and end at the same corner; you can use your finger to carefully push all the corners in; be careful not to contact the screen with the roller or you may cut it.4) Use the CONCAVE side of the roller to push the spline in the rest of the way; angling toward the outside away from the tight part of the screen; use the curved (non-pointy) side of the hook (or a standard screwdriver) to push the corners in, being careful not to damage the screen.5) Use the enclosed razor blade to cut off the excess all the way around (this was maybe the trickiest part, and I left a few jagged edges behind, not wanting to cut too close to the spline).Easy peasy, looks great, nice and tight. Very pleased.

Great screen mesh
Just so you are aware of it, this mesh is made of fiberglass not metal. The mesh comes with all the tools you’ll need to completely remove the old, torn mesh and replace it with this new mesh. Removing the old mesh is quite easy and installing this new mesh is relatively easy too. Don’t worry about stretching the mesh tight while trying to fit it into the window screen. By pushing the rubber tube into the groove it’ll tighten the mesh around the window screen by itself. Once done pushing the mesh into place, time to trim the extra mesh around the edges. This took me a few errors to get it right. The mesh cuts easily and might come be cut and break around window screen’s edges. So you need a steady hand to hold the mesh in place and a precise cutting skill to get it done right. Once you finished trimming the edges, you are done to install the window screen back to its place.

I chose this set over the other options because the roller tool they provided said it had steel bearings. It did, and was a high-quality tool that will last, unlike the others I passed over that offered cheaper plastic. I really liked saving money and doing the replacement screen myself. The local Hardware store charged me $30 for one screen. This package came with everything I needed, and it turned out to be a fast and easy job. Plus, I replaced 4 screens with the large roll that it came with. (our puppy wreaked havoc in the front room for a few months). The instructions were easy to follow and had small side notes and pointers included that I really appreciated and that sure helped out with the job. Nice to be able to open the windows again without welcoming the bugs in:) Thank you for making a great product and sharing with the public at a fair price!

Excellent kit for window screen repair
The kit included all the tools that are needed for the repair. The repair instruction was good enough for me who had no idea about how to perform the repair. The creases in the mesh screen disappeared or became unnoticeable in several days as the instruction indicated.

We have a screen door that is just a few inches too long as it was made to order when we bought our sliding glass door years ago. We can’t find any readymade screen doors to replace it. The screen material had holes in it. I ordered this kit and it was amazing. It’s a beautifully made screen. The kit includes every tool I needed to take out my old screen in the door frame and put in the new one. The directions were very clear. I chose to start at one of the long sides of the frame and put the screen in. Then I was able to pull the screen tightly to the other side and put that side in. Then I did the top and bottom. It was maybe a half an hour to an hour job. The screen door looks brand new!!!

Not the strongest material, and the roller tool is sharp
I am reasonably handy, but I am not an expert screen installer, so take this for what it’s worth. The screen material is flimsier and easier to tear than the stock window screen it replaced (Pella brand). The included roller tool has unnecessarily sharp edges, and I accidentally cut the material the first time I tried to install it in the frame. Luckily the kit includes lots of screen material. The second try worked better, and the screen looks fine, but knowing how easy it is to cut or tear I don’t have high hopes for longevity.As a cat owner, I know I’m going to have to replace any screen I install eventually. Next time though, I’m going to look for a more robust material.
