Product Overview
The DOTCLAD Hybrid 13-inch Wok Pan with Lid is a thoughtfully engineered cookware solution designed for health-conscious home cooks who value performance, safety, and convenience. At its core lies a PFOA-free, multi-layer nonstick surface enhanced by proprietary Snow Flake technology—an innovation that eliminates the common problem of coating peeling over time, especially compared to traditional aluminum-based pans. This makes it not only safer for your household but also more durable for long-term kitchen use. Whether you’re mastering classic stir-fries, searing tender steaks, or preparing delicate breakfasts like eggs and bacon, this wok delivers consistent results across all standard stovetop types—gas, electric, glass, halogen, and induction. Its 13-inch diameter offers ample space for family-sized meals, while the included tempered-glass lid enables steaming, simmering, and even food storage. From everyday cooking to outdoor adventures in RVs or campsites, the DOTCLAD Hybrid Wok blends functionality with thoughtful design to support your culinary journey.
Key Features
- PFOA-Free & Health-Conscious Construction: Unlike conventional nonstick cookware that may contain perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a chemical linked to potential health concerns when heated, this wok is manufactured without PFOA entirely. This ensures cleaner cooking with no risk of harmful fumes or leaching, making it a responsible choice for families prioritizing wellness.
- Snow Flake Nonstick Technology: Engineered without traditional Teflon coatings, this advanced system uses a suspended nonstick layer that resists peeling, flaking, and degradation even after repeated heating and washing cycles. It maintains its integrity over time, providing reliable food release and reducing the need for excessive oils.
- 5-Layer Composite Steel Base: The pan’s foundation consists of five layers of composite steel bonded to a stainless steel induction base. This layered construction promotes rapid, even heat distribution, prevents hot spots, and enhances durability—ideal for high-heat techniques such as stir-frying and sautéing.
- Universal Stovetop Compatibility: Thanks to its robust stainless steel base, the wok works seamlessly on gas, electric, ceramic glass, halogen, and induction cooktops. It’s equally effective whether you’re cooking indoors or using it as a compact camping skillet outdoors.
- Effortless Maintenance: The large, smooth nonstick surface allows most food residues—such as egg whites, cheese, or charred bits—to wipe away easily with just a paper towel or warm water rinse. No scrubbing or harsh detergents are needed, saving time and preserving the pan’s finish.

Benefits & Use Cases
This hybrid wok shines in both performance and practicality. Its ability to distribute heat evenly means ingredients cook uniformly without scorching, whether you’re tossing vegetables at high heat or gently melting butter for a delicate sauce. The nonstick surface allows you to prepare heart-healthy meals using less oil, supporting dietary goals without sacrificing flavor or texture. From golden-brown scrambled eggs to perfectly seared steak and crisp-tender broccoli, every dish benefits from the pan’s responsive temperature control and slick release properties.
The generous 13-inch capacity accommodates multiple servings, making it ideal for feeding two people or prepping meals in advance. When paired with the tight-fitting tempered-glass lid, it becomes a multipurpose tool—perfect for steaming dumplings, slow-simmering soups, or storing leftovers directly in the fridge. Because of its lightweight yet sturdy build, it’s also an excellent companion for travel: compact enough to fit in most RV kitchens or backpacking setups without sacrificing cooking power.
Beyond the home kitchen, the DOTCLAD Wok proves itself as a reliable outdoor cooking partner. Its compatibility with all stovetop types means it can be used on camp stoves, portable burners, or even open fires (with proper support) during hiking trips or backyard barbecues. The included lid adds versatility for covering dishes, reducing flare-ups, and conserving energy—key considerations when cooking off-grid.
Important Notes
To maximize the lifespan and effectiveness of your DOTCLAD Hybrid Wok:
– Avoid prolonged preheating; instead, heat gradually and adjust flame intensity as needed to prevent overheating, which can compromise the nonstick performance.
– Always apply sufficient oil before cooking—especially for low-moisture foods like eggs or bacon—to ensure optimal food release and prevent sticking.
– For best results, hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge. While some sources suggest limited dishwasher safety, manufacturer guidance recommends hand cleaning to preserve the coating integrity and extend the product’s life.
– Do not cut or stir with metal utensils, as these can scratch the nonstick surface and reduce its effectiveness over time. Opt for silicone, wood, or nylon tools instead.

Worth the price!
Product performed as advertised. Easy to fry with minimum oil. Chicken was moist and tender with no sticking. Great for use as a wok and for other cooking needs. Easy clean. Great product with a decent price for a quality, well designed, eco friendly wok/frying pan.

Love it.
Wow. If anyone drops an A-bomb and you need to get under something for shelter, this would be the thing- well, maybe a bigger version. BUT- this is S O L I D! The handle is just as well-made as the pan and easily (and securely) fastens. It has a great lid also that is tempered glass- overall very attractive. First use, I fell in love with it- a love affair with a Wok, go figure. The cooking surface is great, non-stick. I was adding every kind of veggie, sauce and whatever to this and took it all like a champ! It cleaned up easily as well. I wish there were a whole line of products like this, I’d buy them all!!

I LOVE this versatile WOK!
Oh WOW- I am beyond pleased with this purchase. I have coveted a good non-stick wok for decades since I cook Thai food at least 3 times per week, but really good woks can cost hundreds of dollars and I couldn’t believe this one could possibly be made with such great quality at this price point. It looks stunning (I hardly want to put it away) and after “seasoning” it just once with avocado oil and salt for 2 minutes, I have found that it really is 100% non-stick. since the first use. I am loving how it lets me use less oil to sear and sauté, it heats evenly and quickly, and nothing sticks- even eggs and cheese! It seems to me that food cooks much faster than in my sauté pan and you can easily get that lovely char on veggies while they stay crisp on the inside. I can caramelize onions in about half the time. Sauces and gravies comes together beautifully and almost effortlessly. Best Amazon purchase ever!!! Seller delivered quickly and pan was well packed and in pristine condition. Wish I had a whole set from this manufacturer.

Great Non Stick Wok
First…. the pot was quite larger than I had thought.. Which turned out to be a good thing. It is solidly built and hefty. The dot clad non stick surface is really great. Better than my Caphalon which it replaced. Easy to cook in and easy to clean. Nothing sticks to it. Will let you know how it fares a year from now

Works OK, but not a panacea (no pun intended).
For the money I’m ok with this purchase, but not overly impressed. It works fine with stir frying vegetables and fried rice and I’ve even used it for aglio e olio e funghi pasta. That said, things stick to this pan a lot more than with a teflon surface, but maybe a little less than stainless steel (SS). This is not a great pan for eggs, potatoes, fish or anything else that tends to stick to SS.As a hybrid it stands between SS and teflon in most areas. It is lighter than SS IMO, but heavier than teflon. The DOTCLAD pan is probably more durable than teflon, but less than SS. Cleanup is also easy – about the same as teflon. A real positive that may be unique to the DOTCLAD design is the pan heats up a lot faster than SS and maybe even teflon.Since this wok is kinda heavy, my suggestion is to remove the small handle (if you don’t need it) which will markedly improve the perceived weight as it is farthest thing from the main handle. It’s still heavy, but not enough to require weight training to use.If this thing lasts a long time I’ll be relatively satisfied, but probably will never buy another hybrid pan – especially HexClad!

Nice and not nice, depending on your needs.
Updated Review 8/330/24:Gave 1 more star and WOULD definitely recommend this Wok. Changed the way I felt about how this Wok functioned after using BUTTER instead of olive oil. I made Fideo. Onions went golden very nicely, Fideo noodles browned up by the time they were sautéed. Took very little time to toast chili powder when added to sautéed noodles, also, the alternating addition of tomato sauce and chicken broth needed the heat raised and lowered over and over. The Wok Changed with the heat changes instantly. Also, that is the double fire ring “hot burner” on my gas stove. I was able to hold that long handle the entire time and it was cold under my bare hand the entire time. This is now my favorite Wok for making Fideo. I will not use olive oil again in the Wok. I added the picture of the shrimp I did the first time, in olive oil, that did not brown at all.So, now, the only Con is the lid.Original review:The pros:1. The wok is very pretty.2. It functions like a pan at medium heat.3. The handles stay cool.4. It cleans up well, with careful effort. I saw “scratch marks” where I stirred around in bottom portion of the wok, making the “dot clad” design disappear. I thought that was awful on the first use. When I rubbed more, with a soft and soapy, good sponge, the design reappeared. So, obviously, you need to wash it gently and firmly to remove food and oil from the design indentations.5. It is large enough to cook a portion for a family. The Cons:1. The Wok is not going to function as a wok for stirfry at that heat. It did not get hot enough to put a sear on large, dried off, shrimp, at medium heat. I used a small amount of olive oil. I think it would do better with Avocado or vegtable oil.2. You have to give attention to thorough washing to get everything out of the design indentation.3. The LID is Miserable to wash. Like the other wok I bought at the same time, water AND soap gets into the channel of the lid and is TRAPPED there. You have to run more water over the glass until the soap disappears from the channel where glass and metal are indented, then, once the soap is gone, you have to spend a fair amount of time with a dry paper towel, pressing the towel firmly at the seam of glass and metal, on the top of the lid, until you get all the water absorbed by the paper towel. The water doesn’t “shake” out. It doesn’t dribble out standing upright because, of course, it is stuck in that channel. You can turn the lid and whe puddle if water simply rolls with the lid and settles as a puddle when you stop moving the lid.4. If you don’t get the water out of that channel, it is going to get nasty and if you use the lid while cooking, the nasty water will drip into your food.5. I did not try blow drying the lid or using the back end of a hand held vacuum sealer to try blowing out the water. In either case, having to do that is ridiculous.Would I recommend the Wok? Yes, No, and, Maybe. The Wok itself, Maybe, if you don’t need high heat in your style of stirfrying. The Wok if using Avocado oil or other higher smoke point oils hive better result, then, yes. If you need to use the lid while cooking, then, it is a big, fat “NO” because, the lid is horrible to wash and get the water out of the channel where glass and metal meet, and that is just wrong. For reference, the metal and glass lid for the Instapot, and, the metal and glass lids for my other, more expensive, cookware, do NOT have water seeping under the metal rim and getting stuck between the glass and metal.

BUY THIS PAN, donât buy a wok, donât waste money on hexclad
This is a very good, and even better alternative to a well-seasoned wok. No need to season, just wash and ready to cook. The pan distributes heat like a wok, within the same time as a wok. Because of its metal surface non-stick, I use 1/3 the oil I would use on a wok. Less oil, healthier non-stick vs teflon, easy to wash with soap right after to keep clean, at reasonable price. Would buy again.
