Built Like a Tank
Very heavy duty. Very comfortable seat cushion but a little slick. Fairly priced for the Quality. The picture shows the casters I added (Holkie Brand) to make this stool usable in my kitchen. This saves a lot of strain on my back with great mobility gliding around the kitchen. It’s adjustment range is great but adding 4″ casters made it too tall. I took a tubing cutter and cut off 4″ of each leg and added the casters. The bottom pads can come off with the help of a heat gun but can stay on if you cut the legs down. The Holkie casters come in different sizes but I like larger ones that will climb over debris on the floor. They also have internal adjusters that work very well for different sizes of tubing. People

This chair was actually fun and easy to put together. The design is excellent. It’s solid. The height range is good going higher than if need and I’m a tall man. The padding is comfortable. I’d say it’s a perfect shop chair at a good price.

Solid, good range of adjustment, not a fan of the shiny seat
This is a review of the Workpro Hydraulic Shop Stool.Assembly was easy enough. Unlike other similar stools, it did not include any tools so you’ll need a socket set. Based on its target audience, this is probably not a big deal. It took about ten minutes to assemble. Once completed, it was fairly solid. No movement at all when I sat down which made it trustable. My only real complaint is that the seat is super shiny and slick. You will slide off. Maybe this is to prevent dirt or oil from sticing to it, but it’s so slick that I will add some grip stickers at some point.

Sturdy, put together in 15 minutes and works a treat! At 18lbs it isnât very portable but isnât prohibitively heavy either. Just keep in mind when purchasing – itâs sturdy! My techs are amazed at the quality!!! The hydraulic is amazing! I love this stool. Very easy to adjust. And the 330lb wt capacity is GREAT!!! If you are on the fence about which stool to purchase I recommend this one!!!

Solid and Comfortable
Well designed, strong and simple to assemble. Sturdy and heavily welded iron (not flimsy steel plate like others) “star” to which the legs attach. The commercial quality fasteners require some tools to assemble including a socket set and a pair of locking pliers, but anyone ordering a shop stool has those! It takes about ten minutes to put together and comes with suitable instructions just in case. Comfortable and sizable seat, legs have ferrule so as not to slide or mar the floor. Surprisingly nice looking for such an item. Priced fairly compared to other similar items.

One reason I chose this particular stool was the weight rating, which is a bit higher than most of the alternatives. It arrived today. An impressively small box, with no wasted space. When it was designed/engineered someone took great care to avoid wasting warehouse space and shipping space. I was totally impressed with the sturdiness of the parts. The ones that tie it all together at the top – central web and four pieces to take legs – are impressively heavy duty. I have one hint to add to the assembly process. At the last stage, when doing the final tightening of the fasteners, it would have been a REAL help to have someone sitting on it so that all the feet were on the floor. Since I was alone, I improvised. I put my chest and pretty big belly on it, with my arms dangling down with the tools to tighten the fasteners that connect the ring to the legs. Worked perfectly! The hydraulic height adjustment seems very robust.My only negative, which I saw in another review, is that the shiny seat covering looks tacky. This almost made me downgrade it to a four. I’d have been happier with four and a half, but since that wasn’t an option – and that had nothing to do with how well it works – I gave it a overall five.

Update: The vendor teached out to me and offered a replacement which would have been fine – except they never sent it. I followed up teice snd both times I was told it would be tsken care of but nothing happened. Gave up.Work fine for a few months. Then the piston started to leak causing you to slowly sink and have to reset it every few minutes. I weigh significantly less than the maximum weight stated on the product. Contacted the vendor regarding the warranty and was told they would have Amazon reach out to me. Never heard from anyone again. This is an incredibly sturdy well built product but based on my experience and other reviews I have read I suggest you stay away from it.To the vendor I have this message. It’s okay to have problems. What differentiates a bad vendor from a great vendor is how they resolve such problems.So to Amazon in this vendor both I say two thumbs down.
