Totally Awesome Bed!!!
I was very hesitant to order this bed, for a lot of reasons. Some of which are that these “assemble yourself” furniture things have, in the past (NOT Zinus), have been very difficult to assemble. Things like missing parts, missing instructions (!) (you name it). Gave me a definite pause.Add all of this to the fact that I am female, and (how to put this?) “older”, and don’t have a lot of experience with assembling things (i.e., mostly poor experiences, as mentioned above) and that a purchase of this bed would make it THE most expensive single item I have ever purchased on Amazon – me, an Amazon customer of 20+ years standing – just about made me decide to give this bed a pass.Boy, am I glad I read the reviews (more than 20,000 at this writing). Reading the reviews, and looking at the rating, made me decide to give this a chance.The bed arrived in about three days on my front porch. As expected (I had read that the box weighed about 85 pounds – no exaggeration here!) I could not lift the box to carry it inside (it was just too heavy for me) so I laid it flat on my front porch (it had arrived standing upright) and opened it there.The contents was EXTREMELY well packaged – it was a smaller box within the large box. The smaller box contained all of the parts – large and small styrofoam blocks everywhere, everything was welll-cushioned, thus un-blemished.The small parts (fasteners, screws and such) were shrink-wrapped onto sections on a piece of cardboard, with each section labeled with the corresponding part number to the directions – as an added bonus, there was also a section labeled “spare parts”, with a few extras of each. I REALLY appreciated this thoughtfulness on the part of Zinus, as this guaranteed that I would have all of the parts required.The instructions were simple – mostly all graphic images (pictures) of the step-by-step assembly.The reason that the instructions were so simple is that this bed is incredibly well engineered – the design has really been carefully planned and carefully thought out. Because of this, the parts and assembly pictures exactly matched all of the actual parts.Not too much guess work here – I had one or two missteps at the beginning, only due to me inexperience in putting together such things. After more thinking, looking at what I had done and comparing it to the instruction, I saw my error, disassembled this first step, and it was smooth sailing from then on.It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to put this bed together, only because I had to spend a few minutes at each assembly step staring at the instructions in order to understand if I was doing things correctly. Aside from the first step, I was.If I had this to do over again (or if I had been a person with experience in such things) I’m guessing that I could have put this bed together in a half hour, tops.And I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bed! It is beautiful, exactly what I was hoping for (I purchased the one with the headboard), although expensive (for me) it is a quality item and totally worth the price. I know I will enjoy this bed for many, many years to come.So, if you are contemplating getting this bed, even if you are “older” and even if you have no experience in do-it-yourself furniture assembly, I would say GO FOR IT! When it comes, don’t be in a rush, study the instructions, only open the shrink wrapped parts sections as you need them (and be sure to put the parts in a dish or a pan or something so that they don’t roll under your chest of drawers and disappear!), take your time – and soon you will have a beautiful new bed.The only thing I would say to Zinus is that the photos on the page for the bed were poor quality (the photos, NOT the bed), blurry and out-of-focus. This almost stopped me from buying the bed right there and then – so, Zinus: better photos, more bed sales!Thanks for reading, everyone!! 🙂

Looks really nice and sturdy
This bed frame is a great value. Itâs sturdy and works well with my traditional cherrywood bedroom set. So few of the bed frames I looked at had good finish choices and this one gives you several to choose from. I also like that the frame is thick and the legs are somewhat recessed, so I done stub my toe when I walk around my bed. The King mattress sets beautifully over the base, and it is very stable. Note that it does not attach to a headboard, but it is heavy enough to keep our headboard in place.I paid someone to assemble it but the assembly person found it was simple and well designed for assembly. For a large scale bed frame, two people working together make this much easier.

Solid, Easy to Put Together and Looks Great!
First off, once assembled, the bed is super solid and does not squeak. The wood is stained and finished nicely and I detected no finish flaws. It just looks good as well. This is our first ‘platform’ bed as we’ve always done the mattress box spring thing. I purchased this new bed frame with headboard to go along with our new hybrid mattress (which weighs a ton). The bed came in pieces in a fairly long box – with another box inside – so double boxed. The packaging protected all of the pieces well and it was a really nice touch that all of the Styrofoam packing material was plastic wrapped so you don’t get little styro-balls all over when you take the pieces out. The instructions were basically pictures of how to assemble and all of the parts had little labels so you knew what to use and when. All of the assembly is done using screws with hex heads, flat washers and sometimes lock washers. A hex wrench as well as a little socket wrench was included in with the screws. There were extras of each size screw and washers. The slats unrolled and used Velcro to secure them to the frame on the sides. The slats even had a little bit of sticky tape to help keep the mattress from sliding around. I’ve assembled many a piece of furniture in my day and this was definitely one of the easiest ones I’ve done. Everything fit perfectly with all of the holes lining up as they should. The designers did a really good job of making this easy to put together and solid when done. We are very happy with this bed. Good job ZINUS!

Exceeded expectations⦠by A LOT
When my wife suggested this product it was difficult for me to consider buying furniture online that we have not seen or âexperiencedâ, if you will, in person. There was a sense of apprehension from the moment we ordered it all the way to the unboxing.When I began to unpack the very well packed pieces, I was instantly scrutinizing the wood components. Not a single one of the pieces felt âcheapâ. Instructions were very straightforward and easy to read. The product is engineered in a way that, once fully assembled (about and hour to an hour and a half), makes it VERY sturdy. After tightening it all down I noticed that there is little to no flex in the frame. The color of the wood (rustic pine) is beautiful and natural which will make it truly go with any color scheme.The headboard is perfectly flat on the backside, making it fit flush against the wall if needed. The height of the bed (at least with the mattress we use) sits nicely just below the windowsill.There is plenty of space between the floor and the bottom of the frame to slide shallow storage bins under or other items that may need to be kept out of the way.My wife and I honestly couldnât be more pleased. This is a fantastic, real wood product for the price. It feels and looks way more expensive than it is. Simple and elegant!I will definitely not deduct a star from this product but if I had to nit pick one thing it would be that there isnât a wood plug for the bolt holes on the sides of the headboard. Thatâs it. Iâm sure I can find something that would work.

I ordered this bed a second time for our spare room, and the packaging was in good condition, bed frame is double wrapped in cardboard for those “bad delivery drivers” and its kept undamaged. Easy for me to install, and looks clean and sturdy. So far our queen size no issues after a year nothing broken or falling apart.We attached it to a headboard with drilling some holes through the legs and long bolts. Holds up just great! Thats because its solid wood, not some garbage glued particle board from, must I say it, Ikea stores and the like.Thanks amazon and Zinus.

Bought this for my 3 year old because we needed a head board that was on the lower side because his bed sits directly underneath his window. This bed frame is perfect. It was easy to build (disclaimer: I didnât build it. My husband and my 3 year old did but it looked like it was easy. They had it done in less than an hour and my husband didnât sweat once, so thatâs a good sign!) itâs sturdy and my son loves his big boy bed. Truly Lovely frame. The colour is a little darker than pictured but it really doesnât bother me. Itâs truer in colour to the picture I added if anyone needs a reference.

We downsized into a smaller home and when we moved we purchased new beds for all of the rooms. I didn’t want to deal with heavy boxsprings any more and decided to go with platform beds. We bought the first frame for a queen bed that we have in the guest room. It is so sturdy and strong and gives off mid century modern vibes. I then bought the same frame in king and in again for our second queen bed. This was easy to assemble with one person. It looks great with a floating headboard and takes up less space than a traditional bed frame.

Very sturdy. A lot of people have complained about the centre leg supports. We purchased the king size and found it has three legs coming down the middle for support. Cannot comment on the other sizes. It does not squeak and groin for us. Easy to assemble and attractive to look at. We also have hardwood floors and it does not slide all over the place. Having said that a king mattress is very heavy. May not be the same for other sizes. The king size I would highly recommend.
