Product Overview
The Giantex White Twin Over Twin Metal Bunk Bed delivers a blend of durability, safety, and space efficiency ideal for shared sleeping environments. Crafted from high-quality steel with a protective powder-coated finish, this bunk bed resists rust and wear, ensuring long-term stability in home, dormitory, or rental settings. Its compact, low-profile design makes it especially well-suited for rooms with lower ceilings or limited floor space, offering a practical solution without sacrificing style. The modern white finish complements a wide range of interior aesthetics—from contemporary to farmhouse—while the robust construction supports users of various ages, including older children, teens, and even adults in shared living situations. With built-in metal slats that eliminate the need for a box spring, setup is simplified, and maintenance is effortless.
Key Features
- Sturdy Metal Frame: Constructed from premium steel and reinforced hardware, the frame maintains structural integrity under daily use. Each bunk independently supports up to 330 pounds, providing reliable strength whether used by two young siblings or multiple guests in a dormitory room.
- Powder-Coated Finish: The durable coating protects against corrosion, moisture, and everyday scratches, making the frame suitable for humid climates or active households. This finish also ensures easy cleaning—dust and light stains can be wiped away with a damp cloth, preserving the bed’s clean appearance over time.
- Reliable Safety Guardrails: Full-length guardrails surround the upper bunk on all open sides, offering continuous protection against accidental falls. This feature gives parents and caregivers confidence in the bed’s ability to keep sleepers secure throughout the night.
- Reinforced Side Ladder: The sturdy side-mounted ladder features evenly spaced rungs and secure connections, allowing safe and stable access to the top bunk. Its design minimizes tipping risks and supports confident movement, particularly important for younger users learning to navigate elevated beds.
- Space-Saving Low-Profile Design: Unlike traditional loft or standard bunk beds, this model sits closer to the floor, fitting comfortably under standard ceiling heights (typically 8 feet). This makes it an excellent choice for smaller bedrooms, studio apartments, or multi-purpose spaces where vertical clearance is limited.
- No Box Spring Required: Each bunk includes 12 heavy-duty metal slats that distribute weight evenly across the mattress. This eliminates the need for a box spring while preventing sagging, ensuring consistent support and extended mattress life. The system works seamlessly with latex, memory foam, innerspring, and hybrid mattresses.
- Easy Assembly & Maintenance: All necessary parts, tools, and step-by-step instructions are included for straightforward assembly by two to three people. The flat, smooth surface resists grime buildup, and routine cleaning takes only a few minutes with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Benefits & Use Cases
This bunk bed excels in environments where space optimization and safety are equally important. Families with multiple children sharing a room will appreciate how it maximizes usable floor area without compromising comfort. College students in dormitories benefit from its compact footprint and sturdy build, which withstands frequent moving and shifting of belongings. The low ceiling compatibility also makes it ideal for basements converted into guest quarters or playrooms. Teenagers gain independence through safe access via the reinforced ladder, while parents enjoy peace of mind knowing the guardrails prevent nighttime falls. The minimalist white design ensures visual harmony in neutral-toned or boldly decorated spaces alike. Because no additional foundation like a box spring is needed, users save money and reduce clutter—perfect for renters who want a permanent-feeling solution without permanent modifications.
Important Considerations
While designed for long-term reliability, some customers have noted minor concerns such as slight noise during movement (especially if the structure shifts slightly under load) or reports of bar bending under extreme weight conditions—though performance typically remains within safe limits for average use. Assembly requires two to three people following the provided instructions carefully; pre-drilling may help prevent stripping during installation. The product is not recommended for children under 6 years old due to the elevated nature of the upper bunk and potential fall hazards. Regular maintenance involves wiping down the powder-coated surfaces monthly to maintain appearance and prevent corrosion. Before assembling, verify all parts are present using the included checklist. For optimal performance, ensure both bunks are level and securely fastened to the wall if required by local building codes or for added stability.

Serves the purpose, better than others
For the price you can’t beat this bunk bed. The best part about it is that it sits close to the floor so the top bunk has more head room. For small kids that have to share a room this is ideal. It is a little wobbly but not creaky so that’s good. The kids love it.

Sturdier than a toddler bed & just as safe
Perfect for young kids. The bottom bed is inches off the floor, making it safe for the 2 year old & the top is less than 5 feet & the 4 year old loves it. Very well made & easy to make. Very pleased with it

Very difficult to put together.
Looks great- kids havenât slept in it yet, but it is EXTREMELY difficult to put together so you will need more than one person.

Broke within 1 month
Broke within a month. Safety bar snapped off clean just from my kid sleeping against it almost made him fall out of bed. All the support bars are bending and movement on it and it wobbles and makes so much noise. NOT SAFE AT ALL.

I wish I’d spent a little more and got something better
W’ve had this bed 18 months and I’ve been annoyed with it so many times that I finally had to write a review.the good: it’s not expensivethe bad: 1) the paint started chipping in some places quickly, as in upon assembly. 2) it squeaks a LOT. My kids complain about how when one moves in bed the other has to hear it. And if moving a lot, like if someone gets down from the top bunk, it makes a ruckus. 3) if your kids get kinda wild sometimes, you know — the way kids all do — they may bang aginst the bed. When they had beds made of wood it was fine. They never once somplained but I assume they bumped against it when playing. But now I know they bump it becuase they say it hurts. My youngsest (6) has cried twice from banging a bone against it. Tonight was the most recent. She banged her ankle. Was she horsing around? sure. But I was there and it wasn’t anything that I would have thought anything of normally in her old bed. And now there is pain and tears.Honestly, you’re better off spending a little more on a wooden bunk bed. I’m sure they have decent priced ones on Amazon. And I seem to recall one on Ikea. Probably lots of places. I just would never ever buy this bed again (or any other bed of metal) if I could go back.

The drilled holes didnt line up, making assembly EXTREMELY hard & frustrating. Half the screws wont go in all the way.Managed to get it together but we broke the allen key it came with due to the poor manufactoring.
