Great for serious tea / coffee lovers
I got this for my family’s new kitchen which is currently in construction. We plan to have at least 2 extended family members move in sometime this yar and they, along with my parents, love a cup or 3 of warm tea / coffee in the morning and throughout the day. This is going to be ideal during the coming Autumn / Winter months when hot drinks are going to be in demand the most! The setup is simple and the interior is exceptionally easy to clean. This holds a tremendous amount of liquid and the built in filter makes brewing large batches of coffee so simple. Plus, even without the heating function, you can use this for cold drinks as well, just be sure to unplug he unit. There is no thermal lining, though, so ice will be a must, preferably added directly to your cups from a cooler or ice bag. I really do like how simple this is to use and maintain. Plus, the design is just the right size for travel and bring to outdoor functions to keep large gatherings satisfied.

Excellent Coffee Maker
This coffee maker was purchased for weekly use for crowds. It is efficient and does its job well. It was purchased primarily because it is stainless steel and a smaller size. It was a replacement for one of the old aluminum coffee makers from the past. The basket is stainless steel as well, which was one major deciding factor in purchasing this coffee maker. I found that most of the smaller coffee makers had plastic baskets. There have been no issues with leaks or drips. Customer service is great. There were some small areas that looked like rust in the basket but it turns out that it was not rust at all, but discolorations on the welding points from the heat of the water. In spite of there being no product issue, SYBO customer service sent out a new basket to replace the original. In addition, the coffee maker is attractive, easy to clean and light weight for its size. If another coffee maker is needed in the future, SYBO will be the first place that I will search.

Used this for a baby shower, we had 50 guests. everyone complemented the coffee, recommend using fresh ground beans. Filled it twice to max capacity. Compact in size.

Not a fan of the re-design
I had the previous model in the kitchen at my Bed and Breakfast for 3 years and had to replace it because it started leaking. In fairness, it’s almost always on, so it gets a lot of use. I use it exclusively for hot water (for tea, ramen, cocoa, cooking, cleaning, etc).Anyway, I went to my orders to find it and re-order and the new one arrived yesterday.1.) the filter will splash water back out at you now. It’s shallower and the mesh is finer, so you have to pour water in slower. Tiring when you’re holding up a full pitcher, and it slows me down significantly.2.) On the subject of slowing me down, the water level window is also a loser. It takes a little time to even begin to react to new water added (and I’m not even sure how they accomplished this defiance of the physics of water levels). If I’m not SLOW and CAREFUL I’ll accidentally overfill it because the water level in the window takes like 20 seconds to accurately reflect the water level in the tank. Again, not ideal for a busy kitchen.3.) The lid is now flimsier and the connection is tighter, so it’s more difficult to get into place and less likely to survive any accidents in the processI am NOT impressed by the re-design. This item is no longer for a busy kitchen. It’s maybe for a hobbyist who doesn’t need it very often. It’s definitely not the workhorse the old one was. I’ll be looking for something else immediately and I’m bummed I lost money on this and still have to use it until I can afford another one.CERTAINLY not for catering or larger commercial applications.

Legitimate Manufacturer – Warranty Works!
Bought this in 2023 and had an issue with it over a year later. Called the support line and they promised to send a replacement part. Sent them receipt and photos, and they decided to replace entire urn with a newer model for free. I wasn’t expecting much and didn’t even realize it carries a 2-year warranty, but Sybo stood behind their product professionally and without any hoops to jump through. Thank you Sybo!

So far so good! The water stays at a pretty hot temperature – much hotter than other urns that I’ve purchased. Great for making tea and/or instant coffee.The one trade off appears to be that it is not especially quiet. It makes a rolling boil sound all the time. I was expecting that to cycle off.
